One of Scotland’s top cosmetic dental surgeries has been nominated for two prizes at the prestigious Private Dentistry Awards 2009.
Since opening earlier this year, Lubiju in Edinburgh has enjoyed significant success because of its unique mixture of hi-tech treatments and traditional holistic therapies, delivered in setting with the ambiance of a five-star hotel.
Now that unique and eye catching combination has seen it shortlisted for the Most Attractive Practice and the overall Private Dentistry Practice of the Year title in a prestigious dental awards.
Delighted co-founders Dr Biju Krishan and Dr Lubino do Rego will attend at a glittering London ceremony hosted by leading dental publication Private Dentistry on November 6 in the Park Lane Intercontinental Hotel.
Sweet smile of success for Lubiju
The two acclaimed Scottish dentists opened Lubiju in Leith earlier this year after a £750,000 investment. It provides state-of-the art private treatments and augments their existing Drake Dental Practice and Scottish Implant Centre, which are already renowned for their NHS treatments.
Dr Biju Krishnan said: “There are thousands of practices across the UK so just making the shortlist is a tribute to the entire team here and what’s been achieved in a few short months.
“We are all looking forward to the announcement and will be keeping our fingers crossed that Lubiju can walk away with an award. It would be a fitting reward for the whole team and the effort they’ve put in.”
“Scotland has a patchy dental record and the Lubiju founders are committed to bringing the best available treatments to the country from around the world including the latest implant technology, hi-tech veneers and pain-free, needle-free methods of treatment.”
PR in Scotland
Leanna Fyfe coordinator of the awards said: “We have been overwhelmed by the quality and standard of entries this year. The sheer number of entries has also been astounding, so any dental practice nominated for an award should be extremely proud.”
Note to Editors
Lubiju has three treatment suites, each with a designer flat screen TV on the ceiling so patients can watch DVDs during dental procedures and hi-tech, ceiling-mounted cameras, which can film surgical and cosmetic procedures for training purposes.
The practice is also unique in the fact that it has a dedicated massage and complementary therapy treatment space, with expert staff on hand to provide alternative health advice, relaxation and beauty treatments, non-surgical facelifts and other rejuvenation and detox treatments.
