Lawson Set to Headline City Of Perth Christmas Light Switch On

World famous boy band, Lawson, are set to push all the right buttons as they lead star studded line up at the City of Perth’s Christmas Light Switch-on event.
Special guests including 80s pop icons Billy Ocean and Showaddywaddy as well as local artist, Paradise Found will join chart toppers, Lawson, in taking to the stage with exclusive performances throughout the night.
The event on Saturday 21st November on Tay Street is scheduled to be packed with activities for all of the family, kicking off with a lively Santa led parade at 5:30pm from Thimble Row to South Street, followed by a colourful fireworks display.
Winter Festival-goers will be able to enjoy a variety of other entertainment including street performers, a One Direction tribute act and a show based on Disney blockbuster Frozen. Reindeers, ice sculpting, huskies and Santa’s Grotto, will also take to the streets of Perth for one day only.
Headline act, Lawson, are back to the UK fresh from touring with Robbie Williams on his Australian tour and are ready to put on a show for the City of Perth Winter Festival enthusiasts.
Councillor John Kellas, Convener of Enterprise & Infrastructure for Perth & Kinross Council, which hosts the City of Perth Winter Festival, said: “The entire weekend will be filled with unique events and family-friendly entertainment from huge artists such as Lawson, to community-led performances that will showcase a wealth of local talent.
“It’s certainly going to encourage many people to visit Perthshire and spend time in the city by making the most of the fantastic shopping, dining and many experiences on offer.
“We can’t wait to see this year’s Christmas adding even more sparkle to this beautiful city and I’m looking forward celebrating with everyone who is attending as there is always a fantastic atmosphere.”
