Kids Golf Tournament Tees Off With More PR Scotland

Ben Hanbury is set to join over 500 junior golfers from over 30 countries in the event that is set to take place from 1-3 June.

Nine year old Ben quotes in the article: “I love playing golf.  I love driving the ball the best.  I can hit it 200yards off the tee.”

The championship will be held over three of Scotland’s most historic golf courses and will see golfers aged from six up to eighteen competing in various age and gender categories.  The top five finishers in each category will be invited to take part in the US Kids Golf World Championship which will take place at Pinehurst golf club North Carolina.

Dan Van Horn founder of the US Kids Golf Foundation and organiser of the event says: “The skill of players really has to be seen to be believed.  They are a credit to the game.

“It’s great we will have youngsters from Notts representing their local golf union.”
