    Fair Isle school children Grace Parnaby, 9 Freyja Parnaby, 6, and Lewis Wright-Stanners, 9 with head teacher Ruth Stout pictured in front of a light aircraft.

    The children have to take regular flights from Fair Isle to a tiny airstrip on Shetland so that they can take part in swimming lessons organised by Shetland Recreational Trust who deliver the National Learn to Swim Framework in partnership with Scottish Water and Scottish Swimming.
