Jerba Campervan's employee-owned business model gets recognition thanks to Consumer PR

JERBA Campervans hit headlines in June thanks to its incredible ownership model.

Not only did Jerba’s innovative business model withstand the devastating effects of Covid-19, but proved the value of an employee ownership design and rightfully attracted attention.

The North Berwick-based company was founded in 2006 by Simon Poole and wife, Cath, was converted into an employee-owned business in 2018 and has seen an increase in productivity year on year. It now has 15 employees, all fully engaged in the running of the business.

The team revealed the extent to which its model of ownership boosted morale during lockdown and allowed a smooth return to work.

We helped to ensure their inspiring example reached as many people as possible, both in business circles and locally.

Some highlights included:

  • More than 1,038,025 opportunities to see on social media and in print
  • Wide range of national and specialist coverage including The Herald, The Scotsman, Deadline News, Scottish Financial Times and the Employee Ownership Association
  • Appearance in BBC Good Morning Scotland show on the 22nd of June, reaching more than 750,000 people
