on behalf of Blackwood
Jenny puts the jam on top for Blackwood after her hand foraged preserves earn powerful social care PR for Blackwood
A LOCAL care home in Edinburgh secured fantastic coverage after the regional manager smashed her fundraising target for the venue.
Jenny Gardner, who works for Blackwood, raised a staggering £1,000 for Broom Court Care Home in Stirling by selling more than 350 jars of homemade jam in just a few months – the ingredients for which she hand-foraged.
The money will allow the care home to rebuild a fully-accessible greenhouse with plants and space for vegetables to grow, after the previous one was damaged beyond repair by gale force winds last year.
The Broom Court tenants took great pride in completing their previous greenhouse duties and are already excited at the prospect of once again being able to experience the daily enjoyment and sense of achievement that the work brings.
The media release was sent out and quickly hit the headlines after appearing on eight different online publications within just a few hours.
It appeared on careindustrynews.co.uk, careandnursing-magazine, posabilitymagazine.co.uk, sycare-support.co.uk, housing – scotlandtoday, Ot-magazine.co.uk, Scottishhousingnews.com. Between them these sites attract than 10,000 visitors per month, the majority of them care industry insiders.
That helps position Blackwood as a leader in its field, attracts key talent and showcases its services giving a huge morale boost to staff and volunteers, while giving powerful reassurance to its service users and their friends and families.
