Aberdeen Hotel PR For Skene Group

Skene House HotelSuites is the first hotel group in Scotland to win official accreditation for being female friendly, as featured in Scotland on Sunday.

Aimed at the lone female business traveller, the hotel allows guests to order in food rather than spend the evening dining solo in a bar or restaurant, a 24/7 manned reception to encourage safety, double locking doors and “feminine touches” such as glossy magazines and good lighting for applying make-up.

Melissa Gilchrist, Director of Operations at Skene said: “Skene House HotelSuites has always looked to differentiate the service we offer to Aberdeen’s hospitality sector.

“Research shows that the number of lone female corporate travellers is growing each year, driven in particular by the number of women who work in the North East’s oil and gas sector.  We also know that the numbers of female leisure travellers, both from UK and Europe, remains a strong market.”
