Interactive Wedding Fayre Unveiled to Grooms and Brides-to-be

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), renowned for its spectacular weddings especially during the autumn/winter period, is holding a wedding fayre for future brides and grooms to fully experience the five star venue, as well as offer them the chance to win a winter wedding of their own.
More than 300 guests are expected to attend the fayre which is being held across three areas of the gardens – the Caledonian Hall, The Pavilion and the John Muir Grove- on Sunday 22 September.
Sodexo Prestige, who provide catering and hospitality services at the venue, will be on hand throughout, showing brides and grooms how they can transform any wedding into a fine dining experience by serving up locally sourced and freshly prepared food from the wedding selection of canapés and mouth-watering dishes.
Couples also have the chance to win a Winter Wedding Package worth £3,995 if they pre-book their special day during the fayre for either January or February 2014.
This package includes venue hire for 40 guests and catering and evening entertainment, allowing brides and grooms to enjoy the luxury of the gardens, as well as enjoy quality food prepared by some of Scotland’s finest event chefs.
Caroline Martin, events sales manager for Sodexo Prestige, said: “Our winter weddings are becoming increasingly more popular with numbers of brides and grooms tying the knot during winter rising every year.
“We host weddings throughout the whole year but couples seem to be looking at more affordable options for their special day, and are booking throughout these winter months.
“This wedding fayre is a great opportunity for couples to come and experience what is on offer here at RBGE and see why it is one of Edinburgh’s most stunning wedding venues.
“Guests can sample the same delicious canapés and dishes that will be served on their special day by our top chefs and can ask any questions about any extra additions they would like to add to make their wedding one to remember.

During the fayre there will also be opportunities for couples to indulge in wine tasting, bouquet making and cake sampling as well as to meet specialists who can offer advice on booking wedding cars, kilts and even a traditional Scots piper for the big day.
Brides-to-be can also experience that all important morning of their wedding before it happens by getting their hair and make-up done by professional artists throughout the day at the fayre.
At the end of the day, one lucky couple will be announced as the winner of the winter wedding package.
