Scottish IT specialists enjoy instant PR results with help from tech PR experts
FIVE working days. Typically the kind of time it takes for a cheque to clear, or for an online order to be delivered to your home.
Or if you are one of the smart businesses that signs on to work with our award-winning PR agency, the time it takes for your first media successes to start rolling in.
That’s right. We know many potential clients fret about how much time they might have to wait for a PR campaign to start delivering results. In fact, it’s one of the questions we are asked most often.
So, let us reassure you – there is very little hanging about, as the IT experts at Grant McGregor discovered when they asked us to help them tell the world about their latest success.
This forward-thinking IT company works with clients across the UK and is proud of it colourful website and blog, savvy social media presence and helpful and informative newsletter.
But they decided a one-off PR campaign was the ideal and affordable way to reach an even bigger audience and to let other businesses know about their success.
Within hours of the ink drying on the contract, Holyrood PR was interviewing Grant McGregor’s senior people. And we were also in touch with the huge US-based IT provider which gave the Grant McGregor team a major accolade.
Despite the time-difference, multiple people involved and other hoops to jump through, we had a fully-approved and high-impact media release ready just a few days later. You can check it out here – https://www.holyroodpr.co.uk/scottish-tech-teams-successful-war-on-spammers-and-hackers/.
It was exactly the kind of hard-hitting media release which appealed to a wide range of publications – and was picked up by an impressive number of key media titles and got in front of 206,577 people – including in important regional media, key business titles and influential trade publications, including:
- An article with both words and pictures in the Edinburgh Evening News – the biggest and most influential news title serving the Scottish capital, where the firm is based
- Coverage in the highly-regarded BQ Live website, which reaches a powerful audience of 153,000 entrepreneurs and business owners
- Vital additional when the story featured in BQ Live Newsletter, dropping directly in the inboxes of important business influencers and decision makers
- High impact headlines on the Daily Business website, Scotland’s premier online news site for the country’s business leaders and readers
- Further business coverage via the the Scottish Business News Network (SBNN) site
- Big hit on the Deadline News site, Scotland’s leading independent multi-media news agency
All of the media articles were packed with positive key messages about Grant McGregor and most of them also featured high-quality images of the IT team, including David Lawrence (pictured left) – putting them firmly on the radar of businesses across Scotland that might be considering an update or upgrade to their IT support.
Wow. Even by our own high standards, preparing the fully approved package of words and pictures, getting it out to the media and delivering those kinds of results in just five days was an extremely fast turnaround. Yet it didn’t stop there. Coverage was also shared widely on Grant McGregor’s social media channels and regular newsletter, helping further spread the word of why other businesses should consider using the IT experts.
We also shared Grant McGregor’s success story on an extremely well-regarded website- ours! Search engines like Google and Bing love the Holyrood PR website and links here help boost the search engine value of our clients.
Were Grant McGregor impressed? We think it’s safe to say they were, since they wrote a blog post to say how delighted they were with the media coverage – https://www.grantmcgregor.co.uk/2015/grant-mcgregor-making-the-news/
On top of that, they also profited on other ways from working with our award-winning PR agency, including finding a great idea for their newsletter (if it’s true that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then we feel suitably flattered!) – https://www.holyroodpr.co.uk/how-the-art-of-business-flirting-can-lead-to-profitable-relationships/
