Care and innovation secures Bield online PR Scotland.
Bield featured on the Care Industry News website after announcing that its innovative training course has recognised its first ‘graduates.’
Thirty managers completed the Inspire Leadership and Development programme which was created by Bield to ensure Scotland’s most vulnerable citizens receive excellent care and support.
Bield, Scotland’s leading provider of housing, care and community services for older people, which aims to equip senior staff with enhanced skills to provide even better life experiences for Bield’s service users.
Brian Logan, Chief Executive at Bield, said: “Improving care for older people is a priority for Bield, and the organisation is continually looking at ways we can develop our employees to prepare and equip them with the skills, knowledge and confidence relevant to their role.
“The Inspire programme was designed with our colleagues and training partners and has resulted in a long-term development project which is very different to anything we’ve done before.
“The programme covers a range of themes and takes participants on a leadership journey including emotional intelligence and self leadership, setting, communicating direction and winning and maintaining commitment.
“Those managers who have completed or are going through the programme have given fantastic feedback on how it’s given them the ability to strengthen their management abilities, develop their leadership skills and encourage team working.”
The Inspire Development Programme has been developed in partnership with the Social Enterprise Academy and the Linked Work and Training Trust using original and innovative techniques. On completing the programme there is the option to achieve the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) level 5 certificate in Leadership, by completing two assessments.
Around 120 Bield managers are set to complete the programme by the end of 2012.
