Edinburgh family law firm Gibson Kerr has celebrated a huge boost to its PR in Scotland with coverage in one of the UK’s top Sunday newspapers.
The Independent on Sunday featured the family firm in its money pages, where it ran a story about the dangers of making internet – or DIY – wills.
Partner Scott Rasmusen told the newspaper that many people across the UK were putting their families at risk by taking the do-it-yourself option rather than seeing a legal expert. He explained that many of the online documents were poorly written and not legally binding – meaning that people could end up having to spend more in furutre legal bills to claim their rightful inheritances.
