Community Bank’s Hollywood Launch Captured in PR photography

Film star brings stardust to Leith for credit union opening – crowning a successful PR campaign

HOLLYWOOD star Michael Sheen caused a stir in Leith when he turned out to cut the ribbon to launch a new branch of Castle Community Bank.

The actor – who recently starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in sci-fi blockbuster Passengers – is a passionate campaigner for an end to high cost credit and for fair lending to be available to tholivingvng on or near the breadline.

His presence at the opening of a new branch of the Edinburgh-based credit union ensured it was a high-profile event, attracting crowds of movie fans – and also delivering high-impact media attention.

The team from Scottish public relations agency Holyrood PR were called in to help support the launch, working closely with Michael Sheen’s adviser and the staff and volunteers at Castle Community Bank. That made sure the whole thing ran smoothly – delivering a huge haul of positive headlines

As part of our 360 degree approach to public relations we always think visually when it comes to telling client stories. So we commissioned respected photographer Ian Georgeson to attend and make sure he captured these vibrant images to be used in the PR campaign and which Castle Community Bank can use on their website, social media channels, brochures and other marketing material.

We also arranged for the opening event to be captured on video and created a suite of eyecatching social media visuals to be used to build buzz in the run up to the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Could your business use a sprinkling of media stardust and PR photography to help boost your reputation?

We’d love to help you enjoy the same kind of success enjoyed by Castle Community Bank and our many other, diverse clients.
