Opening of Thai Express Kitchen’s highly-anticipated new eatery makes powerful images for pub and restaurant PR campaign
A WORLD-first launch for a global restaurant brand is an occasion that deserves to be marked in style – and in an age of visual communications that means capturing the occasion in top notch photography.
Thai Express is known around the world for its fresh take on traditional Thai food-to-go across 350 outlets – so when it’s first, dedicated dine-in restaurant was given the greenlight by global bosses in Canada, it was a major milestone
On top of that, the venue was due to open in the showpiece, £1 billion new destination, St James Quarter in Edinburgh, Scotland. It would also be the first Thai Express restaurant to serve alcohol, while it’s innovative “double decker” seating was a UK first that earned special planning permission.
All in all, kinda a big deal – no pressure then!
As part of an integrated PR, digital and social media campaign we delivered at short notice and on a tight budget, high-impact, quality photography was a must. Not least for the media and foodie influencer launch event that we also helped bring to life.
For that event, we arranged to have a a professional photographer on hand to capture the highlights – including guests mingling, savouring the food and even trying their hand in the kitchen (carefully arranged under supervision of the experienced chefs).
The reach, coverage and buzz created by our team of pub and restaurant PR experts helped establish the brand on the Edinburgh foodie map. We did that by cutting through the noise in an incredibly competitive market.
Out highly effective campaign – delivered at extremely short notice – included superb media relations, an incisive social media campaign, buzzworthy influencer and event management – and this brilliant PR photography.
