Victoria's Business 7 Full steam ahead with PR in Scotland as hotel features in Business 7

The popular business news publication has featured an article on a successful entrepreneur’s plans to create a luxury nautical themed hotel on Sauchiehall Street.

Wayne Gardener Young, who owns the adjacent Victoria’s nightclub plus hotels in West Lothian and at Loch Lomond will invest £6million into the project which will position the area as an upmarket place to work, rest and play.

It is hoped that the development will be complete in around 18months time and once finished will hold features such as a roof top sky bar area and 70 luxury nautical themed bedrooms.

Wayne and his partener Volker Steinemann are taking a hands on approach to the development – personally hand picking evenry aspect of the interior design themselves.

Wayne says in the article: “When you think boutique hotel you aitomatically picture retro inspired bedrooms and a similar themed restaurant. We want to move away from that particular trend and focus on the city’s culturally specific heritage, and thats its industrrial maritime association.

“When we bought Victorias we saw great potential in the area itself.

“It is a short walk from the city’s main shopping thoroughfare and business district and is within quick access to main motorway links. That’s why we were so quick off the mark to submit plans.

“At the beginning we knew we would have a tough job on our hands to turn Victoria’s into a profitable operation. But were determined and it’s really paid off.

“Victoria’s continues to do very well and I expect our new hotel to welcome a similar response.”

Thw WGY group which was founded by Wayne in 1993 was recently granted approval for a £22million eco freindly theme park and activity centre in West Lothain – showing atestament to his entrepreneurial skills.
