Scottish Ice Cream Brand’s latest creation captured in PR video
MACKIE’S of Scotland is no stranger to trying its hand at weird and wonderful flavours, so when the ice-cream brand announced the comeback of their Guinness sorbet, we knew fans would need to see the stout infused sorbet for themselves.
With four cans of Guinness going into each five litre Napoli, the tasty treat is being served up at Mackie’s 19.2 parlour over St. Patrick’s Day weekend – available exclusively to those aged 18 and over.
Mackie’s used a neutral sorbet as the base in order to recreate Guinness’ distinguished flavour, satisfying the taste buds of pint lovers throughout Aberdeen.
The film shows the sorbet being served up in the Marischal Square parlour, with ice cream aficionados giving the flavour a firm thumbs up.
We created the social media friendly video and sent it out to the media along with the press release – also providing Mackie’s with content to share across their own social media channels.
“So often, flavoured treats don’t actually taste like the food that they’re based on – but we were keen for that not to be the case, so we used the real thing to achieve the true Guinness flavour.” Take a look at the original release
Named 19.2, the parlour is located exactly 19.2 miles from the Mackie’s Westertown family farm, where it produces its renowned ice cream and chocolate ranges.
