Mackie’s had a successful start to 2022 as our digital PR team helped them to celebrate veganuary in style by launching a giveaway with one of Scotlands top vegan food influencers.

Mackie’s wanted to start off their year by celebrating veganuary but launching an Instagram collaboration competition with a Scottish influencer.

Our Digital PR team went on the hunt for the perfect influencer for the giveaway. After coming across Glasgow based vegan influencer Jess (@ahandfulofpassion), we could quickly see that her loyal following shared the values of Mackie’s target market making her the ideal partner to host the giveaway.

The giveaway gave her lucky follower a chance to win a month’s supply of vegan flavours crisps by following the like, share, follow and comment competitions instructions.

Jess’s followers couldn’t wait to get a chance to win some tasty vegan treats, with followers liking and tagging their friends to be in with a chance to be the lucky winner.

Through Working alongside Jess, our team helped to boost Mackie’s of Scotland Instagram page with incredible engagement which brought heaps of traffic to Mackie’s Instagram.  

The give giveaway was a huge success, securing the following results:

  • Reaching 13,100 users
  • 184 likes and 72 comments from followers on the competition post
  • Helping boost Mackie’s Instagram by over 100 followers

Through organising the giveaway with @ahandfulofpassion, it helped Mackie’s to be introduced and put their crisps in front of the eyes of her 13.1k loyal following.

It also helped to highlight to Jess’s online community that not only do Mackie’s offer a great range of crisp flavours but that they are vegan too! Even with some unsuspecting flavours such crispy bacon and Haggis & cracked black pepper. 

Through collaborating with influencers and launching giveaways, it can help build a brands following as well as linking them to dominant industry voices which are seen be credible and trustworthy.
