Social Care PR experts at Holyrood PR took story spotting to another level to help our client celebrate its 50th year of operation.

2021 marks Bield Housing & Care’s golden anniversary of providing vital housing and care services for Scotland’s older people, and Holyrood PR has played an integral part in ensuring the milestone was successful and full of celebrations.

The organisation were keen to do something special to mark the celebration and the team at Holyrood PR were willing to help out and work on any materials to make the anniversary special.

Bield pull together a magazine twice a year, and decided it would be appropriate to have one dedicated to the golden anniversary, showcasing all of the amazing things which have happened in the past, as well as looking forward to its bright future.

The magazine has been months in the planning with several calls to the client to ensure everyone was working to the same goal and understood the value this piece of work will bring to customers and staff.

HPR then compiled a host of specialised information surrounding Bield, its customers and staff, and the wider community including previous events, milestones and celebrations while looking forward to what the next 50 years will bring.

We researched milestones for Bield, and spoke with around 30 employees and customers to find out their fascinating stories. From there; we drafted short and snappy content, created attractive titles to engage with our audience, brainstormed ideas to ensure we were continually putting creative and unique ideas to the client, and sorted out a word search and birthday cake competition.

During the process, we ensured the content and ideas were all designed to suit our specific audience – customers and staff at Bield. We kept this at the forefront of our mind during the planning process as we wanted the content to resonate with those receiving it.

Furthermore, the team helped steer the editorial values and layout of the bulletin and worked with the client and design agency at every stage to ensure the end result was something both parties were proud of and showcased the amazing work Bield has done over 50 years.

As a team, we are very proud of our work and delighted to be working with Bield to celebrate this impressive milestone.
