Most 11-year-old girls may just worry about boys and Hannah Montana, but as BBC Sport showed, Eloise Healey had more pressing matters recently – like using the 6 iron or 4 wood to win the US Kids Golf European Championship.
The 11-year-old champion, who plays off a handicap of 11, was competing against over 400 children from 38 countries at the end of May.
Ahead of the three-day tournament in Scotland, Healey told BBC Radio Merseyside about her on-course success. And the online team – seeing how good the story was – also did a piece on their website.
The BBC picked up the tale after being told about it by the award-winning Edinburgh PR company Holyrood Partnership.
