PR Video - Haggis Ice Cream - Burn's Night - Food and Drink PR

If you were sitting at home on Burns’ Night to a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties, and started thinking of the perfect Burns’ night desert, Mackie’s of Scotland has you covered.

Mackie’s of Scotland celebrated Burns Nights with a limited edition haggis and marmalade ice cream.

The ice cream was piped in to Mackie’s 19.2 ice cream parlour in Marischal Square, Aberdeen, live on Facebook. The parlour’s recent opening was covered by our in-house PR video team.

We were quick to get the story in front of Scotland’s media outlets, getting the story covered in the Daily Record and the Aberdeen Evening Express, and featured on the front page of The Press & Journal.

On radio, a teaser breakfast feature on Northsound was followed by a live feature as the haggis ice cream was addressed. On social media, celebs of the big screen, including Grey’s Anatomy’s Kevin McKidd, were quick to comment on the curious flavour combination. You can check out our in depth coverage report here.
