Fireworks mark the end of the Festival in Edinburgh but not the coverage at the Award Winning Holyrood PR

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival went out with a bang with a fireworks display, and here at Holyrood PR we’ve also had an explosive week with our stories lighting up the headlines.

Next up, housing and care experts Blackwood are on the hunt for Britain’s next big budding designer as they search for students to create new innovations to help those living with disabilities become more independent.

Blackwood is calling for design students to submit their entries to Blackwood’s Student Design Competition 2014 by the end of October, for a chance to be crowned Blackwood’s Designer of the Year and scoop up a £500 prize.

The competition underlines Blackwood’s commitment to bringing solutions to its customers through cutting edge technology and the story was picked up by The Evening News, Care Industry News online and SFHA Online.

And finally, young bright sparks have also been featuring in our s1 Jobs story as they uncovered the latest trend in the youth job market. Scotland’s No.1 recruitment platform, has revealed that ‘Generation Y’ – people in their 20s and 30s prefer the attractions of the company offering a position rather than the job itself.

The trend caught the attention of Business news Online, who also tweeted the story, Recruitment Buzz and The Herald who went onto explain how companies are tackling the trend by using full advantage of videos to show the environment of the work place, helping to identify if the candidate is the best cultural fit.
