Our award winning PR team in Edinburgh have been kept busy with a very special birthday party at Bield, hopelessly trying to catch all 99 free shows at The Three Sisters bar during the festival, and converting Commsworld from a project to a full time PR client.
Account Executive Melissa Clark and Videographer Craig Sinclair were invited to Bield Housing and Care resident Meg Melvin’s 108th birthday party at Glasgow’s Dundas Court to celebrate with Meg, her family and friends, and team of carers. It was a great day and we got to hear about how this incredible lady has witnessed 20 different prime ministers and 5 different monarchs in her life time!
As the second oldest woman in Scotland, Meg went viral on Facebook, with hundreds of people wishing her a happy birthday. Her story was also a hit on STV’s Riverside Show. You can read our original press release here and see our photographer’s images of the day here.
From one kind of soiree to another. The Royal Mile is heaving, the sun is shining (sometimes), and Bristo Square has been taken over by a giant cow. Yes, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is underway, and we told the story of how G1’s Three Sisters Bar in the Cowgate is offering a mammoth 99 completely free shows over the course of the festival. Our photographer went along to catch a performance and take a few snaps of the festivities, and the story was picked up by The Evening News and The Reporter.
Finally, communications experts Commsworld have become a full time client for our Scottish PR team after we made some of their most impenetrable stories interesting. Adapting their business news to make it understandable for a mainstream audience, we got their recent exciting work into Scottish Business News and a number of oil and gas trade titles.
