on behalf of Bield Housing And Care
This week at leading Scottish PR agency Holyrood PR we’ve been telling our clients’ stories to the world, and the world has been listening.
From telling the unusual tale of a gliding granny at Scottish care and housing provider Bield, publicising property news for CALA Homes, to announcing how a courier company proved crucial to the Commonwealth Games, we’ve been working hard to score coverage for a wide range of clients. With coverage in specialist, local and national publications like The Herald, The Press & Journal and The Sun, our PR work has ensured our clients’ business news has reached a huge audience.
First up, Scottish housing and care provider Bield wanted to tell how their St Andrew’s Court resident Betty Lyons made a jaunt out of her Uphall home and into the skies when she took a trip in a glider over Loch Leven. Despite never having flown a plane before, the fearless ex RAF secretary loved her exhilarating new experience.
Enjoying Bield’s ‘Free To Be’ philosophy, Betty’s adventure proves the sky’s the limit for Bield residents, who benefit from fulfilling, independent lives. The Daily Express, The Sun, West Lothian Courier and Edinburgh Evening News readers loved the 90 year old’s story and it was thanks to Holyrood PR they got to read about it.
From sky high sensations to bricks and mortar specialists, we told the story of how house builders CALA Homes transformed a former caravan park in North Berwick into the beautiful Gilsland Grange development of 37 four to five bed properties that are bound to be snapped up in the Scottish seaside town. As sponsors of Berwick in Bloom, CALA’s reputation was earned on the high quality of the homes it builds in developments which are sensitively designed to augment the areas in which they sit. The result is that its homes are not only highly sought after, but retain their value over decades and earn loyalty from owners, who often live in a series of CALA properties.
They won Showhome of the Year with the contemporary raspberry ripple interior decor in their stunning show home and Holyrood PR celebrated with them when their exciting news was showcased by Scottish national property pages such as The Scotsman, The Press & Journal and The Herald.
Last but not least, Eagle Couriers brought a whole new meaning to the term ‘bicycle couriers’ this week. Setting the wheels in motion for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Scottish courier company was tasked with transporting three motorised bicycles from Glasgow to Kent for some vital TLC before their use on the track that shot Sir Chris Hot to fame.
Holyrood PR can’t wait to see the three dernies in action during the Commonwealth Games, and looks forward to telling more high profile stories in future.
