Holyrood PR TV Episode 104

This week we’ve been busy telling stories about the importance of community engagement, the brave fundraising challenge one woman has set in memory of her aunt, and how we are reducing the size of Holyrood PR’s carbon footprint.

First up, we’ve been telling the local press in Perth about a group of over 50s in Perthshire that have been discussing plans for a wind farm in their area. Wind energy experts Banks Renewables visited “The Scone and District” over 50s club, where more than 60 members had the opportunity to find out more about its plans for the proposed Bandirran Wind Farm near Balbeggie. News of this project was picked up in local newspapers the Courier and the Perthshire Advertiser.

Next up, Call Centre Manager, Sharon Martin, has been backed by her bosses at Direct Savings to give it her all in fundraising for her late aunt. Sharon has decided to shave her hair off to raise money towards Marie Curie and Cancer Research with the help of all her colleagues in the Bathgate office. Sharon’s aiming high with a fundraising goal of £2500 and if you want to donate towards her brave venture, you can visit her just giving page now. (http://www.justgiving.com/shazzamartin).

And finally, here at Holyrood we’ve become quite the eco warriors by upping our recycling to keep down our carbon footprint. From recycling 2.5 tonnes of paper in a year to making sure our everyday food waste is properly disposed of, we made a video to show our new environmentally friendly ways.
