Historic Savings With Scottish Viking To Europe

DFDS Norfolkline Press releases

Norfolkline Travellers are being offered the best deals in DFDS Norfolkline’s history to travel by ferry from Scotland to Europe.

Passengers can sail on DFDS Norfolkline’s Scottish Viking from Rosyth, Fife, to Zeebrugge, Belgium from as little as £35 per person until the passenger route closes in mid-December.

Chris Newey, DFDS Norfolkline’s Director of Passenger Services for Scotland-Belgium and the English Channel, said: “The route is very much operating as normal until mid December so we’re keen to see as many people as possible travelling on the ferry.

“There’s a great range of discount fares and deals available to ensure everyone can grab a great deal, not least the chance to take advantage of the lowest prices we have ever offered for this service.

“Last minute flights abroad can work out expensive at this time of year so this is perfect for anyone who may have been planning for a trip to the continent but was put off by price.

“Landing at Zeebrugge gives you to chance to travel anywhere in Europe by car.  But Bruges, in particular, is a beautiful place to visit for foot passengers. This is a great time to plan a trip to its famous Christmas Market.”

A Pullman seat can be bought through DFDS Norfolkline from just £35 per person with a car or on foot. Or for only £99 per way, passengers can travel with an inside cabin for two people and a car or on foot.

This offer and other money saving deals are available through DFDS Norfolkline’s website www.norfolkline.com/ferry.

DFDS Norfolkline began operating the Rosyth-Zeebrugge service in May 2009, allowing thousands of passengers to enjoy the benefits of starting their holidays on their doorstep as well as the service’s leisurely overnight crossing.

The Scottish Viking sails three times a week from both ports and with onboard facilities that include a restaurant, bar, cinema and children’s play area, there are plenty of opportunities for passengers of all ages to sit back, enjoy the journey and arrive in Europe refreshed and relaxed.

DFDS Norfolkline announced in August that its Rosyth to Zeebrugge route will no longer operate as a combined passenger and freight service and will operate solely as a freight-only route.
