Edinburgh’s history boosts hotel PR for Fraser Suites
A POPULAR travellers’ blog has told about the historic roots of a boutique Edinburgh hotel.
The Jettsetters blog covered the rich past of the luxurious Fraser Suites Edinburgh.
An article on the blog told how boutique venue set at the heart of Edinburgh’s old town made an excellent base from which to explore “Auld Reekie”.
The story gave the history of the recently refurbished 75-bedroom hotel, which used to house Scotland’s first regional newspaper – The Edinburgh Courant.
Running under the headline “Historic Hotel Showcases Auld Reekie’s Heritage” the article explained how the St Giles Street hotel was just a short walk away from the ancestral home of Scotlands’ Kings and Queens – Edinburgh Castle.
Heather Gilchrist, Regional General Manager Frasers Hospitality Scotland, was quoted in the article.
She said: “There aren’t many venues in Scotland – let alone Edinburgh – that can boast as much history as our new hotel. It’s location in the heart of the oldest part of the city makes it the ideal place for visitors interested in Edinburgh’s heritage to come and stay.
