Healthy Serving of Scotland PR for The Tower
A national newspaper has written a full page feature on the newest and healthiest fish and chip shop in Scotland.
The Daily Record wrote a piece covering The Tower fish and chip shop in Penicuik, describing it as a venue to offer an alternative to the greasy fish supper.
Journalist Craig McQueen explains that the takeaway is turning traditional unhealthy thinking on its head with a imaginative and unique menu.
Not only does the menu feature a wide range of fish from sea bass to tuna, but chips can be swapped for roast potatoes and customers can even take the option of gluten free batter.
Domenico Pia, owner, is quoted in the piece. He said: “As people normally regard fish and chip shops and takeaways as greasy and unhealthy, we decided to offer a healthier option.
“We started cooking with vegetable oil and came up with ideas with different vegetables and instead of the usual onions and battered mushrooms.”
The Tower has unveiled the gourmet items on its new menu, which it says are among the healthiest food on offer at any chip shop in Scotland.
The article in the Daily Record was the result of a sustained PR in Scotland campaign by the Holyrood PR.
