A DENTAL practice in the heart of North Lanarkshire is entering a new chapter after a takeover.

Stewarton Street Dental Practice based in Wishaw, has joined Scotland’s largest dental group, Clyde Munro adding 6,335 patients to the network of practices across the country.

With three surgeries, the thriving practice has been fronted by Karen Tuck since 2014, when she bought the practice 15 years after joining as an associate.

Treatments at the practice, as well as general dentistry also offer cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening with this offering set to continue and expand.

The dedicated team will benefit from being part of a forward thinking and continually growing Scottish-based dental group, while maintaining the commitment to high quality, friendly dental care.

Kirsty Dace, Chief Development Officer with Clyde Munro, said: “It is clear through the hard work and dedication of Karen and her team that the practice has become a key part of the Wishaw community.

“There have been great relationships built and a loyal patient base developed, so we are committed to ensuring they will continue to receive the same outstanding service and benefit from technology and treatment advancements without having to travel.

“We are proud that Stewarton Street Dental will retain its identity, while enjoying the benefits of being part of a bigger group, an area that differentiates us from our competitors.”

Stewarton Street Dental Practice is one of four practices acquired by Clyde Munro in recent weeks, taking its patient count to more than 400,000. Now at 46-strong, it is anticipating acquiring its 50th practice in a matter of weeks.

Clyde Munro was founded by Jim Hall in 2015 with the acquisition of seven practices. Since then, it has enjoyed rapid growth through acquisition.

Its ambition is to become Scotland’s “local dentist”, operating an expanding network of family dentists across Scotland, with each devoted to providing the best dental care, while reflecting the needs and character of its community.
