The U.S. Kids Golf European Championship has seen more than 500 of the world’s best young golfers competing on historic links courses in East Lothian.

Despite blustery conditions, the standard of play at this year’s tournament has been extremely high, with numerous sub par rounds recorded by competitors.

In this video, Holyrood PR caught up with tournament co-ordinator Alasdair Good to find out how players from around the world had been coping with the unpredictable Scottish weather and how the tournament fared with previous years.

Alasdair, who is head pro at Gullane Golf Course said that players had adapted admirably to the challenges on all the courses where the championship was staged – Gullane, Luffness New, Cragielaw and Longniddry – and said that it was clear that the tournament had enearthed some potential future stars of the game.
