Victorias Nightclub gains PR Scotland in popular trade magazine SLTN as its transformation begins.

Legendary Glasgow nightclub Victoria’s will soon become Azure as plans to revamp its image and status get underway.

Victoria’s has been a Glasgow institution for over 30 years, and has been the haunt of old firm footballers and Scots celebrities since the 1980’s.

The work, which is currently underway, will be carried out in three stages while the club remains open and will re-launch after completion as Azure.

Owner Wayne Gardner Young has owned the club since 2008 and has seen it grow in popularity over the years however feels its time for a change.

Wayne commented: “Since buying the club back in 2008, we have seen its popularity grow but now we want to bring the venue up to date and move with the times.”

Azure will include two dance areas featuring LED wall panels and minimal seating, ‘The lounge’ due to be created will offer customer a more relaxed and comfortable place to react, while the Champagne bar will be replaced by a roof top smoking balcony with outside bar.

Wayne and his operations manager Volker Steinemann drew their inspirations from clubs in Milan and New York, and are due to spend £1.5 million on the project.

Wayne added: “we think everyone is crying out for a club like this and we want to deliver the highest possible standard”

Wayne also operates the Kaim Park Hotel in Bathgate as well as the Best Western Buchanon Arms Hotel and Spa in Dryman.
