An Edinburgh care home is gearing up to host its annual summer fete and is calling out for the local community to come along and get involved.

Bupa’s Victoria Manor care home in Leith will hold its end of summer celebrations on Saturday the 3rd of September and is encouraging members of the public to stop by and enjoy some fun in the sun with residents and staff.

Various activities and stalls will be set up for residents, guests and visitors, including a bake sale, face painting, a DIY photobooth, a coconut shy, a raffle and a wet sponge staff attack, and entertainment will be provided throughout the day by Dale Meeks from Emmerdale.

Vanessa Albrecht, Activities Coordinator at Bupa’s Victoria Manor Care Home, said: “Everyone here at the care home is very much looking forward to the fete, and we are aiming to fundraise a minimum of £1000 so we hope as many people from the local community and beyond will come along and join us and help us smash our target.

“It’s shaping up to be a lively and fun day, so we would encourage anyone keen to pay us a visit and get involved, as there really is something for everyone going on.”
