NINA CONTI AND DANCING PUPPET MAN (Gerard)
For a little bit of humour to get you through the day, we’ve found this hilarious video of Nina Conti of Russell Howard (the website spells his name with one “L” so if you love to spell then please overlook that). She has a man from the audience come up and act as a puppet for her ventriloquist act. It’s very funny and his reactions while “speaking” making it all that much funnier.
UNCOVERED ON THE COVER (Sarah)
For any feminists out there, or indeed anyone interested in how the portrayal of women has evolved, I recommend the piece entitled ‘The Revolution of Women on the Cover of Esquire’. Featuring covers from 1933 right through to February this year, the progression is interesting to behold and my favourites are probably found within the 60s selection. With a slightly more satirical message attached to the images, the women seem to have more depth. I shall stop now before I bore you all to tears, but check it out, if only to provide yourselves with some serious bikini body inspiration.
HUNT FROM YOUR HOME THIS EASTER (Melissa)
If the snow and gale force winds are still blowing strong next weekend, then you might think you will have to call off your Easter Egg hunt. But don’t all panic at once, Tesco has come up with the genius idea of a virtual egg hunt. If you find three eggs while cruising through a special Googlemaps area, then you can claim a real chocolate egg, and if you find a Golden Egg you could win yourself a Samsung Galaxy Tab. So next Sunday you can sit in the comfort of your home, wrapped up warm and still get involved with the Easter tradition.
WEEPING MAN BECOMES VIRAL SENSATION! (Rebecca)
I’m a bit late on noticing this but there is a new viral sensation post Gangnam Style. This man was merely sitting crying into the palm of his hands and he got over 50 million views in just one night! This one simple video has created numerous spin-offs with different people just uncontrollably sobbing into their palms.
15 PEOPLE WHO SHOULD HAVE PLANNED BETTER (Gerard)
As a nation who love programmes like You’ve Been Framed, which is basically a programme to show how funny other people’s pain can be. It’s a bit sick but we all love it. This link provides us with 15 gifs that do exactly that. It’s very funny but some of the gifs definitely make you glad it wasn’t you and because it isn’t you can watch them again and again and laugh again and again… oh and share them with your friends… unless they appear in them. In that case, post it on Facebook and let everyone see the hilarious misery. NOTE: If you appear in this, ha ha.
