Garden Garnish Cocktails at The Bothy Restaurant & Drinkery Cocktail connoisseurs from across the capital have been flocking to one of Edinburgh’s landmark hotels, to sample its latest range of delicious “Garden Garnish” cocktails.

To complement the recent transformation of its interior by renowned hotel designer Jim Hamilton, The Bothy Restaurant and Drinkery at The Murrayfield House Hotel, has launched a brand new drinks menu, designed to tantalise the taste buds of drinks aficionados by combining premium brand alcohol with freshly picked ingredients.

The selection currently includes the gin based Cucumber and Mint Martini, a vodka infused Blueberry and Basil concoction and the indulgent Pear and Rosemary Sparkle, which is topped with a splash of prosecco.

Encapsulating the Bothy’s desire to serve only the freshest homemade produce, the cocktails are an unusual addition to the extensive drinks list and have already proved popular with customers.

General Manager at The Bothy Restaurant and Drinkery, Colin Brand, said: “Edinburgh is renowned for its numerous cocktail bars, so we wanted to do something a bit different in order to stand out from the crowd and give our customers an original experience.

“At The Murrayfield Hotel we strive to use fresh, locally sourced ingredients and what could be fresher than our garden garnishes?

“Feedback we have received so far from both visitors from afar and our regulars has been glowing, which is always fantastic when you are trying something new.

“The popularity of the cocktails has exceeded all of our expectations and we look forward to perhaps adding in new ingredients and flavours in the future.”

Something For Everyone

In addition to the garden garnish range, The Bothy also offers a wide selection of more traditional cocktails to be expected in any cocktail bar worth its salt but each served up with its own unique, modern twist.

Such tweaked classics include the Raspberry Collins mixed with fresh almonds, a Mango Margarita with a hint of jalapeno for an added kick and the Old Fashioned served with a choice of either American or Scotch whiskey in its very own hip flask.

Whether you dabble in your drams or prefer to sip on champagne, with such an extensive array of beverages on offer, it is hoped that there will be something for everyone, ensuring happy hours all round for visitors to The Bothy Restaurant and Drinkery.

Located just one mile from Edinburgh city centre and a stone’s throw away from Murrayfield Stadium, The Bothy Restaurant & Drinkery is the perfect location for lazy brunches, business lunches and special occasion drinking and eating.

Priding itself on offering hearty dishes of the highest quality, complimentary car parking, a sun trap beer garden and unparalleled Scottish hospitality, they hope to create a true home away from home for all customers.
