Following the appearance of fraudulent supermarket vouchers on Facebook, and Aldi issuing their own warning against the offers which look too good to be true the Scottish Business Resilience Centre warned shoppers to be on high alert.

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre suggested that the shoppers who are registering for these vouchers are exposing themselves to the risk of damaging identity theft by handing over sensitive personal information to these criminals and offered advice on how to stay safe .

Director of the SBRC, Mandy Haeburn-Little, said: “The public needs to be on guard against vouchers appearing on their social media newsfeeds claiming to offer incredible savings.”
