Fraser Suites celebrates as hotel PR sees Hogmanay sell out
EDINBURGH’S newest luxury boutique hotel is celebrating a Hogmanay sell-out just a month after its grand opening.
Fraser Suites Edinburgh only has a handful of rooms left over the Hogmanay period – and no rooms left for New Year’s Eve.
Heather Gilchrist, Regional General Manager for Frasers Hospitality Scotland, said they had been overwhelmed with booking enquiries from around the world for the night of December 31 and surrounding days.
She said: “We’ve had a fantastic response from guests over the past month and have been really pleased with the rate in which the hotel has filled up for New Year.
“With the economic downturn still being felt in the Scottish tourism industry, and considering we only had our official opening in mid-November, we didn’t expect to be facing a sell-out over Hogmanay – but now rooms are fully booked for December 31 and we only have a handful of rooms available for the surrounding dates.
“Fraser Suites Edinburgh is in the perfect location for anyone heading for Edinburgh’s world-famous New Year celebrations – or indeed wanting to take in the many attractions of the city, such as the Castle, galleries, museums or concerts.
“We’re just a few steps from The Mound and all of the fun happening in Princes Street Gardens and the Street Party. In fact, many of our guests will even be able to have a front row seat from their bedroom for the spectacular fireworks display.
“It is a phenomenal achievement to have the hotel fully booked out just over a month after our grand opening.
“We’re now hoping that the small number of available rooms around December 31 will be taken up by last-minute visitors wanting to experience Edinburgh’s Hogmanay.”
Located over seven floors in a restored Victorian, Grade B Listed Building, Fraser Suites Edinburgh offers travellers the unique concept of 75 luxurious and contemporary rooms and suites which double up as full serviced residences.
The venue is the first boutique hotel opened by Frasers Hospitality and caps a record year of growth for the Singapore-based firm, which is aiming to manage more than 10,600 residences worldwide by the end of 2012.
