Tache-tastic for PR Agency

Walking into the office this morning there was a defiant difference in appearance with certain gentlemen looking rather freshly shaven. It’s November 1st and we all know what that means, no not fifty five days until Christmas but the start of ‘Movember‘.

 ‘Movember’ is a moustache growing charity that raises awareness for men’s health care, in particular prostate cancer. The aim is for men to grow and groom their moustaches all month long, in a bid to create the most outrageous moustache and raise some money for a well deserved cause.

 Founded in Australia by Luke Slattery, Travis Garone, Adam Garone and Justin Coghlan the charity has raised millions of Australian dollars. They were inspired by the world-wide success of the fundraising efforts of women from around the world in combating breast cancer with races, fundraisers and the pink ribbon. Think of ‘Movember’ as the equivalent to the pink ribbon but hairy and worn on the men’s faces.

 Here at Holyrood PR the challenge has begun. Will it be the handle bar, the major or even the porn star moustache the guys go for? Who knows, but we will be keeping you updated every week with the guys progress here on HP Sauce – even the girls have a wee trick up their sleeves for getting involved on the ‘tache action, so make sure you stay tuned.

 The lads have kicked off the campaign with this great Queen inspired picture titled ‘Mohemian Rhapsody’ (see what we did there!) and there will be more funny pictures, videos and posts to follow on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
