Mackie’s of Scotland achieved a record-breaking month of success thanks to the help of Food & Drink PR
May proved to be an extremely successful month for Aberdeenshire dairy queens Mackie’s of Scotland. The household name triumphed by breaking both solar records and sales of its delicious scoops.
Firstly, it was announced that the company’s 7,000 panel solar farm is on track to produce its highest amount of green energy in one year. The solar farm, one of the largest in Scotland, has been producing famous ice cream and chocolate whilst generating enough green energy to transfer back to the grid. On Friday 25th May, the farm produced enough electricity to supply three homes for an entire year.
This month also saw Mackie’s celebrating a record month for sales, achieving a 28% year-on-year rise in May. As well as success at home, Mackie’s has also experience buoyant exports to Taiwan.
