Scottish premium crisp company has popped up in the media thanks to PR experts  

WHEN FAMILY-OWNED Mackie’s Crisps revealed that they recreated the cult classic sticky toffee pudding into a new popcorn flavour our Food and Drink PR experts thought – what better way to try out some new popcorn than with a great film!

Our team secured a partnership between Mackie’s Crisps and The Great Outdoor Cinema mixing beloved Scottish snacks with beloved classic films.

Eager consumers were invited to get a first taste of the new flavour at the Great Outdoor Cinema film festival event’s as they were handed complimentary sample on arrival to their screenings.

The tasty story achieved the following results:

This was achieved through the team brainstorming the idea for the soft launch, carefully selecting and inviting foodie and lifestyle influencers to the event. We then drafted a press release to announce the launch and the new partnership, issuing the release to key food, regional and national press.

The story featured in Glasgow Evening Times, helping reach key target audience in Glasgow where the Great Outdoor Cinema was hosted.

The release also secured staple food and national titles such as the Scottish Grocer, The Herald and The Grocer instagram feed setting Mackie’s Crisps in front of notable stockists and eager consumers – creating a tasty buzz.
