PR success for family brands newest chocolate stockist reveal
Food and Drink PR experts helped share the news of Mackie’s of Scotland reveal of Orange chocolate stockist, hitting the spot with foodies across the country as the news made national headlines.
Two years of taste-testing in the making, the creamy milk chocolate, fresh orange zing and satisfying crunch of honeycomb promises to delight people of all ages and is the first new chocolate flavour since the original range hit supermarket shelves.
We helped share the news of supermarket giants, Asda and Sainsbury’s stocking the new flavour and achieved a host of results for our client.
Highlights include:

- Impressive national coverage in widely read titles such as, The Scotsman and The Herald
- Coverage in print, online and social
HPR helped put the good news in front of chocolate lovers across the country, creating excitement around the newest launch as well as publicising where Scots could visit to test it out.
This helped to put the Mackie’s name on the lips of a crucial but niche audience – buyers who choose the products to be stocked in shops and supermarkets.
The extensive coverage also put Mackie’s in some of the nation’s most popular and widely-read news titles – helping to put their name in front of potential new consumers.
The chocolate is infused Honeycomb dust with a natural extract from Jaffa oranges and paired with Mackie’s milk chocolate, to create a zingy taste, with a little crunch.
The 120 gram bars will be available on promotion in 34 Sainsbury’s stores and in 52 Asda stores from 18 November until January. In addition, the chocolate is also available in the firm’s flagship Aberdeen parlour, Mackie’s 19.2 where it is also transformed into a Hot Chocolate drink.
