THE RECENTLY revamped bar The Melville has proved to be a hit earning not one but two pieces of coverage in the Edinburgh Evening News, thanks to food and drink PR experts.

After witnessing The Melville’s demise under previous management, locals, Malcolm Gray and Jon Eastwood spotted the opportunity to create something special and set to work on a £250,000 overhaul transforming The Melville from a dark and dingy pub to a chic city spot. The makeover was accompanied by a brand new food menu with a focus on locally sourced produce as well as an impressive drinks list ensuring there is something for everyone.

The Edinburgh Evening News highlighted the series of special drinks offers available at the bar and also featured Malcolm in its ‘Weekend’ section with a question and answer interview giving its 100,000 readers an insight into the bar owner’s ‘perfect weekend’. The coverage not only provided positive buzz for the rejuvenated Edinburgh hotspot but also helped drive new visitors to the bar’s own website.
