Going Cuckoo for Halloween Cupcakes
News of Cuckoo’s Bakery’s limited edition Halloween cupcakes, designed to terror and delight its customers, has been spreading around Scotland.
Inspired by the super sleuth created by Scotland’s very own Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the Dundas Street bakery and tea room has unveiled a range of ghoulish cupcakes, each of which has a secret tale of mystery, deception and murder behind them – helping create a bit of fun for cake lovers this Halloween.
The ghoulish goodies were featured in Edinburgh Evening News in its ‘Talk of the Town’ section. A local paper covering Edinburgh news and features, the Edinburgh Evening News has an estimated readership of 32,000 people.
The cupcakes were also featured in Metro newspaper, appealing to commuters en route to work. Every weekday morning, 1.3 million copies of the free newspaper are distributed across the UK making it the third biggest publication in the UK.
The cupcakes were also a hit on popular hyperlocal news website, The Edinburgh Reporter. The online publication is aimed at people living and working in Scotland’s Capital, also aiming to appeal to tourists visiting Edinburgh.
