Successful public relations that can weather any storm
It’s been a horrible week of weather thanks to storm Abigail, but thanks to Holyrood PR, our clients saw a flood of coverage in both regional and national papers last week helping bring a ray of sunlight during the bleak rainy days.
Holyrood PR would like to say a huge congratulations to our client CALA Homes after the Star-studded Scottish Business Awards, graced by George Clooney, saw them named as Scotland’s large business of the year.
Chief executive Alan Brown capped an impressive year for the UK’s most upmarket major home builder, when he collected the accolade in front of 2000 people at Britain’s biggest ever business awards.
Normally in HPR TV we’re not shy about blowing our own successes in the media, and this shouldn’t be the case either for our clients. Thanks to some speedy public relations, news of this spectacular win was picked up in a number of titles including The Press and Journal, BQLive.co.uk and Project Scotland helping get CALA’s key messages in front of their target audience.
There’s more Clooney related activity as it rained coverage for our client Tigerlily Edinburgh when lucky diners at the exclusive hotel, bar and restaurant were served up a treat with Gorgeous George.
The luxury George Street venue produced a delicious five course meal for the VIP invite-only party, and our Director Raymond Notarangelo was on hand to serve up some first class PR advice, along with our videographer and photographer who managed to capture some great images and footage of the Hollywood A-lister.
Thanks to our PR expertise, Tigerlily was mentioned in Scotland’s biggest newspapers including the Times, The Scotsman, The Daily Record, The Daily Mail and the Herald, to name but a few. With a total circulation figure of over 5million readers for the 15 pieces of coverage, we ensured we were getting the Tigerlily brand name in front of all the right people.
Last but by no means least housing and care provider Blackwood also had a fantastic week after we told the story of their latest Design Competition which discovers, and champions, new and innovative ideas to improve standards of living for those with physical or mental disabilities.
Dozens of ingenious entries were received before being whittled down to an impressive shortlist of four. The inventions that will now compete for the top prize are a spoon that doesn’t spill, a hands-free computer, an in-flight wheelchair (shown left), and a bus interior that can be adapted to allow wheelchair users to sit wherever they like.
Within just two hours of it being issued, the innovative story went online on The Scotsman’s newly revamped website, which receives nearly 70,000 unique page views daily and over the next two days, the story continued to spread featuring in the Edinburgh Evening News, Edinburgh Reporter, Scottish Business News Network, Housing Scotland Today and Enable Magazine, amongst others.
