Major name in Scottish letting captures the headlines with instant PR results
WHEN one of Scotland’s biggest names in property letting and management launched a new service, the company was looking for results – and fast.
Grant Property is one of the most respected names in it sector, founded in the Scottish capital in 1996. It came to Holyrood PR when looking for help promoting a new, bespoke interior design service for upmarket properties.
The company had a talented, three-strong team who, in the previous year, had completed 120 interior design projects for its own landlords and clients. Grant Property decided to offer the service to developers, landlords and other influencers across the property sector – and wanted to get that message out with the greatest possible impact
In a one-off burst of PR, we made sure the new service got in front of 102,000 readers – by capturing the media imagination with a story about one of the “best kept secrets” in Edinburgh’s booming property market.
Even more importantly, all of that coverage hit exactly the right audiences identified by Grant Property, including:
- LANDLORDS – Cutting through by achieving coverage in the Council of Letting Agents newsletter, a must read for thousands of landlords across Scotland
- LANDLORDS – Further coverage was achieved in the highly-influential Landlord Focus , the magazine of the Scottish Association of Landlords.
- DEVELOPERS AND INVESTORS – Coverage in the renowned PrimeResi.com website, a must-read for developers and property investors
- DEVELOPERS AND INVESTORS – Hard-hitting business coverage on the Scottish Business News Network (SBNN) site, which reaches thousands of business people.
- ALL AUDIENCES – a hat-trick of coverage in some of Edinburgh’s most-read news outlets, including the Edinburgh Evening News in print as well as both Edinburgh Reporter and Deadline News.
This process was fast and frictionless, taking just two weeks from the ink drying on the contract to the first coverage rolling in.
What’s more, those results ensures all of the objectives were met – cutting through a crowded market to establish the Grant Property name in interiors; reaching influencers including developers and landlords; demonstrating the skills of the interior team; and showcasing successes already delivered by the team.
Beyond that each of the stories was packed with positive key messages about Grant Property, while most of the articles also carried high-quality images of the interior design team at work and the amazing results they delivered.
In total the project delivered amazing bang for the buck, by reaching 111 people for every £1 spent – crucially though this wasn’t just random audiences, it was targeted clearly at people in Edinburgh, including landlords and developers. Exactly the people Grant Property wanted to reach.
But the amazing value didn’t stop there. The various stories were shared across Grant Property’s social media sites, adding further reach, while also providing up-to-date and eye-catching content for the firm’s own website – https://www.grantproperty.com/new-business-success-for-design-threesome/.
While other PR agencies might have been happy with that haul, the team at Holyrood PR still weren’t finished. There’s nothing like a link from a well-optimised website to help any business with its search engine optimisation (SEO), the process that makes websites rank well in Google searches.
So we made sure that Grant Property got a huge load of link love from an extremely well-regarded website – ours! In fact, we delivered the following links, each of which contribute to Grant Property’s search engine value, helping the company to rank highly for its most valuable key phrases:
