Inns And Outs in the Daily RecordNewly-opened Leith bar and restaurant The Yard, Leith has already won over countless parents by providing a new family-friendly eating experience in Edinburgh

Now it has reached a potentially enormous audience after the Daily Record reported how it is offering a safe play area for kids – combined with an eclective menu of fresh-cooked favourites.

The Daily Record – which reaches well over a million Scottish readers every day – also issues a well thumbed going out and entertainment magazine every Saturday.

A fixture of the magazine is the Inns and Outs column, a definitive guide to new pubs, clubs and restaurants written by Jonathan Trew, one of Scotland’s leading food and drink writers, critics and bloggers.

In his review he reported that: “It has a large enclosed outdoor play space that has protective flooring, wendy houses, giant Connect 4, Jenga games to make kids squale with joy.

“All the food on the children’s menu is cooked from scratch … the main menu is full of choices.”

The Yard, Leith is the brainchild of entrepreneur Lorraine Politi, who is already renowned in Edinburgh for creating the hugely popular Molly’s play centre in Ocean Terminal, Leith.

To ensure the maximum public profile following its launch, The Yard, Leith brought in Scottish PR experts Holyrood PR, to handle the restaurant’s public relations in Scotland
