EQ Events Head Profiled In Trade Press

Holyrood PR Press releases

National events publication, Event has featured a profile of EQ’s head of events, Margaret Falconer, in which she reflects upon her time in the industry.

Margaret is a highly accomplished events professional who has worked in the sector for over 20 years, enjoying a successful and varied career with a range of global companies.

She began her career with Italian luxury goods house Salvatore Ferragamo as a womenswear buyer where she first developed her love of event organisation by being tasked with the coordination of fashion shows, press launches and a retrospective exhibition of Ferragamo’s work at the V&A.  Organising a dinner for 1500 guests at the Palace of Holyrood House in Edinburgh as part of the annual World Routes Conference is one of the highlights of Margaret’s career.

Margaret regularly organises events on an international scale for clients who are household names to us all.  Industry sectors include Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, Academia, Technology, Renewable Energy and Finance.  Recent destinations have included Amsterdam, Prague, Nuuk, Madrid, Boston, Buenos Aires, Edinburgh, London and the list goes on.

EQ was formed in 2011 by Franc Jeffrey, one of the UK’s leading figures in travel management, and aims to challenge the industry by offering its services on a transparent, fee-based system, rather than the commonplace ‘fee plus hidden charges’ model.

The firm also provides a specialist marine and offshore travel service, travel and expense management for clinical trials as well as running a comprehensive meetings and events department.

EQ is headquartered in Fife, Scotland but has a regional office in the North East of Scotland to support the oil and gas industry as well as a base in Boston, USA, to cater for clients on both sides of the Atlantic.
