Staff at Edinburgh’s leading property solicitor Warners have been celebrating after the firm was featured prominently in the city’s evening newspaper.
The Evening News ran an article about how property experts at the firm were expecting a flurry of activity in the housing market over the coming months, as buyers try to beat the Stamp Duty holiday deadline.
The surge is expected to take place as a result of Chancellor Alistair Darling announcing that the Stamp Duty freeze on properties priced between £125,000 and £175,000 would terminate on January 1st 2010. Warners estate agency partner Scott Brown said that this would create a “winter warmer” for the property market, as buyers rush in to try and purchase a new home before the deadline passes.
The full article appeared in the Evening News and was a result of an ongoing Scottish public relations campaign maintained by Holyrood PR PR in Edinburgh.
