Evening News articleOne of Scotland’s biggest evening newspapers has reported on local youngsters getting the chance to go head-to-head with the world’s best young golfers in the 2009 U.S. Kids Golf European Championships.

The Edinburgh Evening News features two young local golfers who will be teeing it up in the championships from May 26-28.

It tells the story of how Calum Hill, 13, and 14-year-old Lara Frostwick launched this year’s event with a special “old vs new” match where Calum used 19th century hickory clubs and dressed in traditional golf attire while Lara was enjoyed the latest modern equipment from U.S. Kids Golf.

Both youngsters will be competing in this year’s championships and hoping to keep the crown in this country against more than 400 golfers between the ages of seven and 14 from 30 countries worldwide.
