THREE new members of staff have joined one of Scotland’s leading PR and digital agencies, as it celebrates a number of new client wins.
Holyrood PR has welcomed Katie Hogg as an Account Executive, who joins after two years with luxury lifestyle magazine, Scottish Field, where she worked across a range of areas, including property, whisky and events.
Catriona Conway-Mortimer also joins as an Account Executive following her six months at the Scottish regional office of Manchester-based PR agency, Citypress.
In response to surging demand for video services, Holyrood PR has also expanded its in-house video services with the addition of Assistant Videographer, Sebastien Regnier. He joins experienced videographer, Craig Sinclair, who is also a qualified commercial drone pilot.
Elsewhere in the business, new client wins have included work on Scottish Water’s partnership initiative with Scottish Swimming as well as a project with The Standards Commission for Scotland, ensuring the new-look team gets 2018 off to a busy start.
Senior Account Manager, Chris Fairbairn, who heads up the PR and Digital team, said: “The lines are blurring and clients originally prioritising media relations increasingly have to factor in parallel digital campaigns.
“The three new appointments help to give us the scope to deliver a range of services to clients, with demand for our video team at an all-time high.
“It’s been a terrific start to the New Year and we’re delighted to welcome our new starts to what is a very skilled and determined team. Katie has seamlessly made the switch over to PR from her journalistic background, while Catriona’s agency experience means she’s really hit the ground running with our clients.”
New client wins have included a contract with Scottish Water to promote its partnership with Scottish Swimming and the #LearnToSwim campaign, which aims to get 100,000 extra Scottish youngsters into the pool.
The firm also landed the PR contract for The Standards Commission for Scotland, with work underway to ensure Scots are aware of the Commission’s work to encourage high ethical standards in public life.
The in-house video services offered by Holyrood PR – including drone filming – are among the agency’s fastest-growing services. Recent projects have yielded stunning aerial footage of The Crescent development at Donaldson’s College by CALA Homes, Bield’s ‘The Walled Garden’ development in St Andrews and the Aberdeenshire farm where Mackie’s of Scotland makes its ice cream.
The video offering also incorporates 360-degree video and photography which has created a host of stunning images to be used by clients on a range of platforms including, marketing materials, social media and websites.
Chris added: “With such a strong and diverse team in place, it’s provided us with a strong basis to approach new client work.
“Our in-house video team has put in great work with Scottish Swimming to film Olympic medal-winning swimmer Duncan Scott in recent weeks, while the team has been working hard to develop plans and content to work with both existing and new clients.
“The introduction of Sebastien to the video team, coupled with new techniques such as the drone and 360-degree video, is fantastic as we all consume more and more video through social media.”
