Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity help put smile on kids’ faces

Edinburgh PR team gain coverage for new police dog namesA NEW partnership between the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity (ECHC) and Police Scotland saw kids at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children name two new police dogs.

The young people chose the names Banjo and Sully for the two springer spaniel pups and were delighted to get the chance to meet the dogs when they came into the hospital.

We loved sharing this feel-good story and following a well-attended photo-call, it was great to see it spread across traditional and social media. The highlights included;

An impressive 58,886 opportunities to see across the key Edinburgh media;

     • Article in prominent local title the Edinburgh Evening News
     • Website coverage on well-known local website, The Edinburgh Reporter
     • Television report on the STV News at 6

Securing positive coverage in these key Edinburgh titles help ECHC promote the incredible work they do around the hospital so that the young people can be children first and a patient second.
