A new food and drink business has been grabbing some top coverage thanks to an intriguing competition and our Edinburgh PR Agency.
Eat and Drink Italy sponsored an award at the famed RSW (Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour) Open Annual Exhibition, with the winning painting being selected to become the label for its new ‘Tili’ wine collection.
And it wasn’t just artists that found the competition interesting, it caught the imagination of the media as well.
The story appeared on Scottish business news network, which has an online readership of over 80,000 and the hugely influential daily business group website, which reaches over 5,000 people.
In print the release was picked up by The National, which has a circulation of approximately 56,000, and the Edinburgh Evening News, the city’s best known publication, which boasts a readership of 23,000.
And as if all that wasn’t enough we also managed to persuade the guys at Lothian Buses to publish it on their Lets Join site, a website that is the landing page for the thousands of passengers who use the free WiFi service on the bus.
At Holyrood PR we understand that good media coverage is essential for a new business, especially in the food & drink sector, therefore we were delighted we could
help the owner of the business, Scott Morris and we’ll be expecting more sweet coverage when the winner is announced.
Sponsoring the prize allowed Eat and Drink Italy to choose from over 300 works that were exhibited at the RSW show. The winning painting will be bought by the business and the triumphant artist will also collect 24 bottles with the newly created label.
