Early findings from grading scheme make pages of Care Appointments

Care Inspectorate Press releases

Six months of grading

The first detailed report on Scotland’s new grading system for care services has been reported in-depth by Care Appointments magazine.

The latest edition of the magazine has carried a detailed summary of findings from the first six months of the grading system introduced by the Care Commission.

The regulator’s staff already inspect almost 15,000 care services, including nurseries and care homes for older people, to ensure they are meeting the National Care Standards.

Last year the Care Commission introduced grading to make it easier for people using or choosing care services to assess the quality of care provided.
